Hebrew In A Week 2004
(Only 3 days in class)
in Moscow, Idaho
1. Description
The Biblical Hebrew course will consist of several lessons that must be completed prior to the conference. In these lessons, students will be introduced to the Hebrew alphabet, some basic principles of Hebrew morphology, nouns, adjectives, and prepositions. In addition to this, students will be given a list of vocabulary words to have learned prior to coming to the conference. When students show up for the actual class, they will already have a solid foundation to prepare them for intensive study. When class starts we will begin with some review and then we will plow into the Hebrew verbs. This is the bread and butter of Hebrew and will be where we spend almost all of our time together. The few hours of class we should be able to pick up a text from the Hebrew Bible and begin working our way through it. This course can't promise magical results or proficiency in Hebrew in just two and a half days. But this course should provide the student with the needed familiarity of Hebrew to begin a more thorough and independent study of the language.
