In chapter 18 in the Thompson answer key, Part II. #14, Tommy puts, for "the women who were taking gifts", the participle "taking" in the Masculine Accusative Plural, whereas shouldn't it be in the Feminine instead of Masc., as it modifies the noun "women"?
Secondly, flip to any page in the Paradigms index, and you'll see several, little parenthetical (n)'s. When do we use them and when do we not? Is it simply at our leisure?

n! You have identified the elusive "moveable n." There are rules for these, but a handful of exceptions also, which makes it difficult to capture the little buggers. I never quite figured them out, but I gather that other people have, so there is hope after all. Just don't agree to do anything with a herring.
