Writing Greek Letters
This is a great section and essential for gaining any competence with the language. The only additional notes that I have is a couple more warnings.
Make sure that you are not simply writing the English form of the letter "a" for alpha.
Never dot iota.
Avoid writing rho like the English letter "p". Make sure that you write the entire letter in one fluid stroke.
Always let the tail of final sigma dip down below the lower staff line. Don't be tempted to squeeze the whole thing onto the staff like the English "s".
Never cross the letter "τ". You may be tempted to do this since the English lower case "t" is crossed. But the Greek letter is never crossed in upper case or lower case.
Feel free to completely close theta and phi. Closing phi is another helpful way to distinguish it from psi.
Exercises
Practice writing and saying the alphabet in order until you can do it just as quickly as you can the English alphabet.
